Starkville in Motion is a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting the development and maintenance of bike lanes, sidewalks, and trails in Starkville and Oktibbeha County and improving pedestrian and bicyclist safety.

Projects: Starkville in Motion has several committees that work on multiple projects each year including writing grants, education and outreach projects, membership drives, and much more. Visit their website for more detailed information.
Volunteer opportunities: Volunteers can work on specific projects such as the sidewalk committee, safe routes to school, membership, education and outreach and more. You can join SIM members to walk kids safely to schools with walking schoolbuses, develop a bicycle and pedestrian safety campaign, work to educate Starkvillians on motorist safety, or even work on grant proposals for more sidewalk and bike lanes in Starkville.

Meetings: Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Bost Extension Center, Building B Auditorium on the Mississippi State University Campus.
